The Geikie Inlet is a bay on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is bounded in the north by the ice cliffs of the Drygalski Ice Tongue and in the south by Lamplugh Island and the seaward extension of the Clarke Glacier .
It was discovered during the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . Scott named the bay after the British geologist Archibald Geikie (1835-1924), who helped with the preparations for the expedition.
