Claude Blanchard (born May 19, 1932 in Joliette , † August 20, 2006 in Montreal ) was a Canadian actor and singer .

Blanchard appeared in vaudeville shows with his sister Claudette in 1946 and toured with Jean Grimaldi's troupe . In 1947 he formed the Lucky Boys duo with the dancer Mac Michel . In the mid-1950s he performed in a duo with Armande Cyr , Réal Béland's husband, in chanon and sketch programs at the Hôtel Plaza , the El Dorado , the Hôtel Quatre Saisons and the Vic Café . In 1956 they both took over the management of Casino français . His stage partners included Paul Desmarteaux , Paul Thériault and, for more than 25 years, Léo Rivest .

On television, Blanchard has appeared in comedies such as Alors raconte , Les trois cloches and En haut de la pente douce since the 1950s . In 1969 he presented the Shoe Madame est servie at Télé-Métropole with Réal Giguère . From 1970 to 1974 he had his own show: Variétés Claude Blanchard , in which he was successful as the singer Nestor .
