Claude Bourquard (born March 5, 1937 in Belfort ) is a former French sword fencer .

successes

Claude Bourquard was world champion with the team in Buenos Aires in 1962 , in Paris in 1965 and in Moscow in 1966 . He also won with her in 1961 in Turin , 1963 in Gdansk and in 1967 in Montreal Silver and 1959 in Budapest bronze. In singles, he succeeded in 1966 in Moscow winning the runner-up world championship. He took part in the Olympic Games twice: At the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo he reached the battle for third place with the French team, in which Sweden won 9: 6 after an 8: 8 draw due to the better hit ratio of 64:59 was defeated. Together with Jacques Guittet , Claude Brodin , Jacques Brodin and Yves Dreyfus , Bourquard received the bronze medal. He finished the individual competition in sixth place. In 1968 he finished seventh with the team in Mexico City , while he was eliminated in the individual in the first round. In 1967 he became French single champion with the sword.
