Jacques Brodin (born December 22, 1946 in Les Andelys , † October 1, 2015 in Guiseniers ) was a French sword fencer .

successes

Jacques Brodin was world champion with the team in Paris in 1965 and in Moscow in 1966 , and he won silver with them in Montreal in 1967 . In 1974 he won the runner-up in the world championship in Grenoble . He took part in the Olympic Games twice: at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo he reached the battle for third place with the French team, in which Sweden won 9: 6 after an 8: 8 draw due to the better hit ratio of 64:59 was defeated. Together with Jacques Guittet , Claude Bourquard , Yves Dreyfus and his brother Claude Brodin , Brodin received the bronze medal. In 1972 he took sixth place in the individual competition in Munich , while finishing fourth in the team competition narrowly missed another medal win. In 1968, 1969, 1971, 1972 and 1974 he was French single champion with the sword.

Brodin was an electrician.
