Claude Brodin (born July 30, 1934 in Les Andelys ; † October 17, 2014 there ) was a French sword fencer .
successes
Claude Brodin won the bronze medal with the team at the World Championships in Budapest in 1959 . He took part in the Olympic Games twice: in 1960 he finished ninth with the team in Rome , at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo he reached the battle for third place with the French team. In this, Sweden was defeated 9: 6 after an 8: 8 draw due to the better hit ratio of 64:59. Together with Jacques Guittet , Claude Bourquard , Yves Dreyfus and his brother Jacques Brodin , Brodin received the bronze medal. In 1960 he became French individual champion with the sword.
