Claude Lapointe (Author)
Claude Lapointe (born December 3, 1938 in Rémilly , Moselle department ) is a French illustrator for children's books .
He studied from 1962 to 1963 at the École des Beaux-Arts in Nancy , then from 1963 to 1965 at the École des arts décoratifs in Strasbourg .
From 1970 to 1980 he worked for the French magazines Okapi and Bayard Presse . For Editions Gallimard , he illustrated works by Louis Pergaud ( War of the Buttons ), Jack London ( Call of the Wild ), Mark Twain ( The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn ), and William Golding ( Lord of the Flies ) and by Pierre Gripari ( Contes de la rue Broca and Les Contes de la Folie Méricourt ).
Claude Lapointe is the founder of the École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg.
