Claudia Köhler (politician)

Claudia Köhler (born October 26, 1966 in Munich ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). She has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since 2018 .

Life

After attending a Munich elementary school and grammar school in Unterhaching , Köhler began studying business administration at the Munich University of Applied Sciences , which she completed in 1989 with a degree in business administration (FH). She began her professional career as an assistant to the management at Schwarzer Ewald Verlag in Taufkirchen and in 1990 worked briefly as an advertising assistant for Star Sat Radio in Grünwald . From April 1990 to September 1991 she worked as advertising manager at Huss-Verlag and from October 1991 to March 1996 as head of the Central Marketing / Press / Purchasing department at the Georg Reiss film theater company . From 1995 to 2015 she ran an independent agency for marketing, press, PR and special events.

From September 2015 to March 2017, Köhler was a personal assistant to a member of the Bavarian state parliament of the Greens. From July 2017 to October 2018 she worked as a press officer for the district association Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Munich. In addition, from 2013 to 2018 she worked part-time for the Evangelical Church Congregation Unterhaching and in the administration of a kindergarten.

Köhler has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 2011 and has been the board spokesperson of the local association Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Unterhaching since 2014. In 2014 she was elected to the Unterhaching municipal council, where she took over the chairmanship of the Green parliamentary group and has been a social and school officer ever since.

In the 2018 state elections , Köhler was elected to the Bavarian state parliament when she achieved the ninth-best overall vote result on the constituency list of the Greens in the constituency of Upper Bavaria . In the state parliament she is deputy chairwoman of the committee for state budget and financial questions (18th electoral term).

Claudia Köhler is married and has three sons.
