Claudia Malzahn (born August 23, 1983 in Halle / Saale ) is a German judoka . She is a multiple German champion and medalist at international championships.

In 2004 she won the silver medal at the Student World Championships in Moscow . She was third at the 2005 European Championships in Rotterdam , and in 2008 she was runner- up in Lisbon . The 2009 World Championships in Rotterdam as she finished third place. After she was only nominated as a replacement for the Olympic Games in 2004 and 2008 , she was officially part of the Olympic team in 2012 . There she met the later Olympic champion Urška Žolnir in her first fight and lost to her after 2:08 minutes.

Malzahn has the fifth dan . Her home club is SV Halle , and she competes in the judo national league for JC Leipzig . For the Judo Association of Saxony-Anhalt she works as a trainer in the state performance center for the U12 and U14. At the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg she obtained a diploma in sports science ; In addition, she completed a distance learning course in sports management . Her younger sister Luise Malzahn is also a successful judoka (2015 EM silver and WM bronze).
