Claudia Prisecaru (born September 2, 1997 in Focșani ) is a Romanian athlete who specializes in obstacle running, but also competes in long-distance running .

Athletic career

Claudia Prisecaru gained her first international experience in 2013 at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where she was eliminated in the 2000-meter obstacle course with 7: 07.21 min. Two years later she reached the final at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna over the normal distance and finished eleventh there in 10: 53.79 minutes. In 2017 she was fourth at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz in 9: 57.37 minutes and in 2019 she won the bronze medal at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 9: 53.21 minutes. At the beginning of December she reached 24th place in the general class at the European Cross Country Championships in Lisbon after 29:07 min.

In 2018 and 2019 Prisecaru became Romanian champion in obstacle course and in 2019 indoor champion in 3,000-meter run .
