Claudia Rueda

Claudia Rueda (born July 28, 1965 in Bogotá , Colombia ) is a Colombian author and illustrator for children's books .

Life

Rueda grew up in Bogotá, where she studied Roman law and art at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia . Her own illustrations on the subject of Roman law and art made her thesis something extraordinary for the otherwise very dry world of lawyers.

In 1997 Rueda went to the USA with her husband, a systems engineer . She herself wanted to study computer graphics and enrolled in California at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in illustration for children . At the University of Cambridge in England , she completed her studies in the subject Creative Writing with the Master title from.

Today Rueda lives in Bogotà again. Some of her more than ten children's books were first published in English. There are transmissions from Spain, Mexico and Germany as well as in other foreign languages.
