Claudia Sinner

Claudia Sünder (born October 29, 1969 in Grevesmühlen ) is a German political scientist . She was the spokeswoman for the Berlin Senate from 2017 to 2020 .

Career

Sünder studied political science, Spanish and German studies at the Free University of Berlin , then social behavioral sciences at the Fernuniversität Hagen with a master's degree. The entry into professional life began with an activity in the housing industry in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. When she moved to Baden-Württemberg, she was given a new job as a lecturer in adult education .

Until 2014 Claudia Sünder u. a. in educational support, career preparation, public relations and project management, most recently as the state coordinator of the school network "School without Racism - School with Courage" for the Kolping Bildungswerk Württemberg e. V. active. During this time she worked at various local and state political levels and ran for the German Bundestag in 2009 and 2013 .

In 2014 Claudia Sünder returned to Berlin. She held various positions for degewo AG , most recently as head of corporate communications and marketing. In January 2017, she became spokeswoman for the Berlin Senate and head of the Press and Information Office of the State of Berlin. In 2019, the employed department head of the Senate Chancellery announced that she wanted to switch to a project development company as managing director next year. Melanie Reinsch succeeded Sinner on March 1, 2020.

Controversy over resume

In connection with allegations by the author Hans-Joachim Lehmann, there were discussions about individual contents of her résumé. This was the subject of civil and criminal court proceedings against Lehmann. Lehmann was acquitted in the criminal proceedings. He was denied many allegations about sinners in civil proceedings. For those who said that the Senate spokeswoman was a "specialist in faked résumés", the Berlin Court of Appeal saw no claim for injunctive relief.
