Claus-Dieter Offen

Claus-Dieter Offen (born May 10, 1939 ) is a former German politician ( CDU ). From 1986 to 1987 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Claus-Dieter Offen is the son of the accountant Paul Offen and his wife Frieda, b. Trede. After attending the Gorch Fock School in Blankenese , he completed an automotive apprenticeship from 1955 and received his journeyman's certificate in 1958 . Then he did basic military service in the Air Force. In 1960 he married Dagmar, b. Lamp with which he had two sons. In 1969 he became a master craftsman. In the following year he took over the management of the Hamburg company Carl-Wilhelm Brammer GmbH.

In 1977 Offen joined the CDU and became a member of the Blankenese local committee the following year . In 1982 he was elected to the Altona district assembly . In November 1986 he moved into the 12th Hamburg citizenship . After failed coalition negotiations, however , new elections were held in May 1987 , so that Offen lost his mandate again. Instead, he was re-elected to the Altona district assembly in 1987.
