Claus Fey

Claus Fey (born March 10, 1955 in Kleve ) is a former German national handball player . The 1.94 m tall player completed a total of 70 international matches for the national team from 1976 to 1983 , in which he scored 98 goals.

Career

His career began at TSG Benrath. The right backcourt player had his greatest successes at VfL Gummersbach . In 1984 he moved to Bayer Leverkusen . He also played for TV Angermund (Düsseldorf) in the Regionalliga, the second highest division at the time.

On October 17, 1976 he had his international debut in Hanover against Norway . Claus Fey was a member of the squad that became world champions in 1978 . In the final against the Soviet Union he was not used by Vlado Stenzel .

Others

After his handball career, he was head of HR at Bayer's plants in Madison, USA, in the 1990s .
