Clausen Glacier

The Clausen Glacier is a narrow glacier in Marie-Byrd Land in western Antarctica . It flows northeast from the summit of Mount Takahe and ends immediately west of Knezevich Rock .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and with the help of aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1975 after the Danish chemist and glaciologist Henrik B. Clausen from the University of Bern , who worked at Byrd Station from 1969 to 1970 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program .
