The Siberian plate herb ( Claytonia sibirica ), also called Siberian claytonia , is a species of the species plate herbs ( Claytonia ) within the spring herb family (Montiaceae).

Five-fold flowers

The Siberian plate herb is an annual to short-lived perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 5 to 40 centimeters. The leaves are arranged opposite one another. The basal leaves have a long stalk with a broad, ovate and pointed blade. The stem leaves are sitting and not grown together.

The flowering period extends from April to June. The two bracts of the inflorescences are opposite the bracts and are not fused together. The hermaphroditic flowers are radial symmetry and five-fold with a double flower envelope . The five pink, seldom white tepals are 6–10 mm long, deeply edged to split.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 12, 18, 24 or 30.

The natural range extends from Kamchatka , British Columbia, Alaska , Idaho, western Montana, Oregon , Washington to northern California . In Germany, the Siberian plate herb is a naturalized neophyte .
