The longest river in which Bulgaria has a share is the Danube (471 km), which forms the border with Romania along its entire course , but never runs entirely on Bulgarian territory. The longest river that flows through Bulgaria is the Maritsa (515 km, of which 322 km in Bulgaria) and the longest that runs exclusively in Bulgaria is the Iskar (368 km).
