Clemens Biener

Clemens Biener , also Klemens Biener (born April 15, 1887 in Mährisch-Schönberg , † November 26, 1965 in Vienna ) was an Austrian literary historian and secondary school teacher .

Life

Clemens (also: Klemens) Biener studied German Philology at the University of Vienna , received his doctorate in 1909 with the dissertation Syntactic Investigations on the Middle High German revisions of older poems for Dr. phil. and worked as a teacher. In 1923 he qualified as a professor for older German language and literature.
