Eric Buchman (born September 11, 1979 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York ) is a professional American poker player . He is two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Career

Buchman has been participating in prestigious live tournaments since 2002 .

In early April 2004 he won the New England Poker Classic in Mashantucket with a prize money of over $ 275,000 . In May 2004 Buchman was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and cashed in a shootout tournament in the Limit Hold'em variant . In 2006 , he reached a WSOP final table for the first time, finishing a Limit Hold'em event in second place for nearly $ 175,000 in prize money. In the main event that same year, Buchman finished 114th out of 8,773 players for around 50,000 US dollars. In mid-December 2007, he narrowly missed winning a ring at a WSOP circuit tournament and ended up in Atlantic City in second place behind John Racener . At the 2009 WSOP , Buchman reached the final table in the main event with the second-largest chip stack , which was played in November 2009. Buchman, who was previously a secret favorite, finished the tournament in fourth place for more than 2.5 million US dollars in prize money. By winning a Limit Hold'em event in mid-June 2010 , he secured his first bracelet and a prize of more than 200,000 US dollars. A year later, he took second place at a WSOP event in the mixed variant 8 game for around 170,000 US dollars in prize money. At the 2014 WSOP , Buchman won an event in Seven Card Stud for which he received his second bracelet and a prize of almost 120,000 US dollars.

In total, Buchman has earned more than four million US dollars with poker in live tournaments.
