World Series of Poker 2014

The World Series of Poker 2014 was the 45th edition of the Poker World Championship and took place on May 27, 2014 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas . It ended with the final table of the Main Event , which was played November 10-12, 2014.

Tournaments

structure

A total of 65 poker tournaments in the variants Texas - and Omaha Hold'em , Seven Card Stud , Razz , 2-7 Triple Draw as well as in the mixed variants HORSE , 8-game and 10-game were on the tournament schedule. The buy-in ranged from $ 500 to $ 1 million . For a tournament victory, the players received a bracelet in addition to the prize money . Vanessa Selbst and Haixia Zhang were the only women to be successful, the German George Danzer was the only player to win two bracelets .

The final table began on November 10, 2014. Mark Newhouse became the first player since Dan Harrington to reach the final table for the second time in a row in 2003 and 2004, finishing ninth like last year . In the final hand Jacobson won with 10 ♥ 10 ♦ against Stephensen with A ♥ 9 ♥ .

From October 2 to 18, 2014, the Crown Casino in Melbourne hosted the World Series of Poker Asia Pacific 2014 , with ten bracelets being played.

Player of the Year

George Danzer (2015)

The Player of the Year award goes to the player who collects the most points across all tournaments. These are based on the calculations of the Global Poker Index and also include the WSOP APAC tournaments. Winner George Danzer won two bracelets in the main tournament series and another in the WSOP Asia Pacific . In total, he reached five final tables and placed ten times in the money.
