Monster stack
The Monster Stack is a poker tournament that is played once a year at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas .
structure
The tournament was first offered at the 2014 WSOP . Played the variant No-Limit Texas Hold'em , the buy-in is 1500 US dollars . The players start with a stack of 50,000 chips and thus have more chips available at the start of the game than in similarly expensive events in the tournament series. Registration is spread over two days; re-entry is not permitted. In the World Series of Poker Europe tournament was in 2015 in Berlin , and in 2017 and 2018 in Rozvadov also played. While the entry fee in Berlin was 1650 euros , each in Rozvadov was asked for a buy-in of 1100 euros. At the end of February 2015, the event in Las Vegas in June 2014 was named Poker Tournament of the Year 2014 at the American Poker Awards in Beverly Hills with a buy-in of less than $ 2000.
