history

Canadian entrepreneur Guy Laliberté initiated the Big One for One Drop for the 2012 World Series of Poker . He founded the non-profit One Drop Foundation , which advocates unconditional access to clean drinking water in crisis areas. The High Roller for One Drop , where the No Limit Hold'em variant is played, follows the same mode: 3.5% of the total prize pool goes to its organization. With the previous four editions in Las Vegas, he was able to collect over two million US dollars for his foundation. In November 2017, the tournament was played for the first time at the WSOP Europe at King's Resort in Rozvadov . From every buy-in there, 11,111 euros, a total of almost 1.5 million euros, went to Lalibertés Foundation.
