Wolf-Rüdiger Janzen

Wolf-Rüdiger Janzen (born April 9, 1941 in Liegnitz , Lower Silesia Province ) is a German economic functionary. From 1985 to 2006 he was the managing director of the Kiel Chamber of Commerce and Industry . Janzen is Honorary President of the Baltic Sea Chamber of Commerce Association, which he was instrumental in establishing in 1992. From 2003 until reaching the age limit, Janzen was Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Sweden .

Janzen was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class and the Andreas Gayk Medal of the city of Kiel for his services to the economy . In 2011 he was appointed by King Carl XVI. Gustaf as the commander of the Swedish North Star Order after Janzen was awarded the Knight's Cross of the North Star Order of the Kingdom of Sweden in 1995. Janzen is also the bearer of the Officer's Cross of the Polish Order of Merit and the Estonian Order of Mary .

Janzen has been actively involved in the Kieler Hansekogge eV association since 1991 . V., of which he is chairman.
