Leonid "Alex" Bilokur ( Russian Леонид Билокур ; * 1976 ) is a Russian entrepreneur and poker player .

Personal

Bilokur owns his own company. He is married and a father of two. He lives in Moscow .

Poker career

Bilokur has been participating in renowned live tournaments since 2009 . He describes playing poker as a hobby.

In March 2010, Bilokur traveled to Berlin for the European Poker Tour (EPT) without much previous poker experience , where it won a side event with a prize of 174,000 euros . In mid-January 2012, he won the High Roller of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) in the Bahamas and secured the top prize of more than 1.1 million US dollars . In June 2012 Bilokur was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and came in four tournaments of the variant Texas Hold'em in the money. At the EPT High Roller in Barcelona he finished second at the end of August 2012 and received most of the prize money of almost 300,000 euros due to a deal with Frenchman Laurent Polito . In January 2014, Bilokur won a PCA tournament, grossing him over $ 200,000. At the EPT High Roller in Sanremo in April 2014, he took third place, worth around 120,000 euros. At the 2014 WSOP , Bilokur won the World Championship in Pot Limit Hold'em and secured a bracelet in addition to the prize money of almost $ 400,000 . Since then, he has not had any major successes in his poker career.

In total, Bilokur has earned more than $ 3.5 million in poker in live tournaments.
