Alexandru "Alex" Papazian (* 1988 or 1989 ) is a professional Romanian poker player .

Poker career

Papazian plays online on all popular platforms under different nicknames. In July 2016 he won with online tournament poker over 3 million US dollars , with more than half as steakaddict. was won on PokerStars . Since 2012 Papazian has also been participating in renowned live tournaments.

Papazian won his first live prize money at smaller tournaments in Bucharest . At a side event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Malta at the end of October 2015, he finished third behind Justin Bonomo and Fedor Holz and received over 45,000 euros . At the beginning of May 2016, Papazian won the EPT High Roller in Monte-Carlo and secured a prize money of around 1.2 million euros. In early July 2016 he was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. At the main event of the Merit Poker Western Tournament in Kyrenia , Cyprus , Papazian finished third in March 2017, for which he received around 110,000 US dollars due to a deal with three other players. At the 2017 WSOP , he won the Crazy Eights event and received the grand prize of $ 888,888 and became the first Romanian player to win a bracelet . In mid-August 2019, Papazian came second at the Millions Open of partypoker Millions Europe at King's Resort in Rozvadov and secured prize money of 105,300 euros.

In total, Papazian has earned just under 3.5 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments, making him the most successful Romanian poker player .
