Tuan Bui Le (born February 15, 1978 in Paris , France ) is a professional American poker player of Vietnamese descent. He is two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker , as well as three-time champions of the World Poker Tour .
Personal
As a child, Le moved to Kansas City and later to Los Angeles , where he passed his university entrance qualification. He then graduated from California State University in Los Angeles with a degree in finance. Apart from poker, he enjoys playing tennis and badminton .
Poker career
Career
Le started playing cash games at the Hustler Casino in Los Angeles when he was 21 . In October 2004 he won the Main Event of the World Poker Tour (WPT) in Mashantucket , which earned him a prize of more than 1.5 million US dollars . In mid-April 2005, Le also prevailed at the World Poker Tour Championship at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and secured his second WPT title and the grand prize of over 2.8 million US dollars. He earned his third WPT title at the end of May 2005 at an invitation tournament called the Battle of Champions . The end of June 2006 was he first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino successfully in Las Vegas and was killed in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. At the 2014 WSOP , Le won an event in Limit 2-7 Triple Draw and received a bracelet and a prize of more than $ 350,000. In early June 2015, he also won the 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball Championship at the 2015 WSOP, securing over $ 320,000 and his second bracelet .
Overall, Le has earned over $ 5.5 million in poker in live tournaments. He mentions Barry Greenstein as his mentor because he learned a lot about poker from his book Ace on the River .
