Brian Altman (* 1988 in Longmeadow , Massachusetts ) is a professional American poker player . He is two-time champions of the World Poker Tour .

Poker career

Altman had his first live tournament success in June 2011 when he finished fifth at the main event of the Borgata Summer Poker Open in Atlantic City, which was worth around 45,000 US dollars . In early July 2012 he was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. In February 2015, Altman won the World Poker Tour (WPT) Main Event in Hollywood , Florida , for a prize of more than $ 720,000. At the WPT in Montreal he also reached the final table in mid-November 2015 and received almost 150,000 Canadian dollars for his fourth place . At the beginning of May 2016, Altman also prevailed at the main event of the WSOP circuit in Montreal and secured a gold ring and the main prize of almost 170,000 Canadian dollars. At the Venetian Resort Hotel in Las Vegas at the end of May 2017, he won a deep stack tournament with a prize of over 100,000 US dollars. Altman was also victorious in August 2017 at an event at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open , for which he received nearly $ 120,000. At the end of October 2017, he finished fifth in the main event of the Asia Championship of Poker in Macau , which was paid for the equivalent of around 200,000 US dollars. In January 2019, Altman sat at the final table at the main event of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures in the Bahamas and finished the tournament in sixth place, worth almost 300,000 US dollars. At the WPT Maryland Main Event in Hanover at the beginning of October 2019, he took third place for around 150,000 US dollars. In mid-January 2020, Altman prevailed again at the WPT Main Event in Hollywood and secured a prize of over 480,000 US dollars in addition to his second WPT title.

Altman has earned more than $ 4 million in total playing poker in live tournaments.
