Jonathan Little (born December 22, 1984 in Pensacola , Florida ) is a professional American poker player . He won the Main Event of the World Poker Tour twice and was named Player of the Year in this tournament series in 2007/08 .

Personal

Little played the trading card game Magic: The Gathering from the age of 13 and made it to ninth place in the world rankings. He later studied engineering and psychology at the University of West Florida and worked as an aircraft refueling attendant at the airport . Because of his poker successes, Little gave up both studies and work. He is married to a lawyer and has two sons. The family lives in New York City .

Poker career

Little focused on online poker after he turned 18 after depositing $ 50 on the partypoker platform under the nickname FieryJustice . His tournament earnings on PokerStars as Jcardshark and Full Tilt Poker as KagM7F7 are over $ 1 million. Since 2006 Little has also taken part in renowned live tournaments .

Little was in June 2006 for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and came in four tournaments of the variant Texas Hold'em in the money. In January 2007, he sat at the final table of the Main Event of the World Poker Tour (WPT) in the Bahamas and finished fifth for around $ 320,000 in prize money. In mid-May 2007, Little won the WPT Main Event at the Mirage in Las Vegas with a prize of over one million US dollars. At the end of October 2007, he finished second behind Scott Clements at the WPT Main Event in Niagara Falls, Canada, and received almost 750,000 US dollars. At the end of the 2007/08 season, Little was named WPT Player of the Year . At the beginning of November 2008 he secured his second WPT title in Mashantucket and received his highest prize money to date of over 1.1 million US dollars. At the 2013 WSOP , Little finished third in a six-handed Texas Hold'em event for just under $ 250,000. In March 2020 he received a Global Poker Award as the “People's Choice Award for Poker Personality of the Year 2019” .

In total, Little has earned more than $ 7 million in poker in live tournaments.
