Erick A. Lindgren (born August 11, 1976 in Burney , California ) is a professional American poker player . He is nicknamed E-Dog and two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker . He is also a two-time title holder of the World Poker Tour , where he was named Player of the Year in 2003/04 .

Poker career

Career

Lindgren's career began in 2002 by winning his first major tournament at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas . Ten months later, Lindgren took a title on the World Poker Tour , followed by winning the partypoker Million III . In January 2005, he finished second in one of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) circuit tournaments in Atlantic City and received $ 430,000 . At a tournament hosted by Full Tilt Poker in Las Vegas, he beat Mike Matusow , Clonie Gowen , Erik Seidel , John Juanda , Chris Ferguson and Phil Ivey , for which he received $ 600,000. His win Down Under earned him a million Australian dollar prize money in the $ 10,000 A tournament of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship . At the 2008 WSOP at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, he won his first bracelet in the Mixed Hold'em (Limit / No-Limit) variant with a buy-in of $ 5000. He also finished third in the prestigious HORSE tournament (buy-in: $ 50,000) and was at three final tables. Because of these achievements, he was named WSOP Player of the Year . He won his second bracelet at the 2013 WSOP .

Lindgren had an exclusive contract with the online poker room Full Tilt Poker . In total, he has earned more than $ 10.5 million in poker in live tournaments. Lindgren was married to the poker player Erica Schoenberg from 2011 to 2014 and has one child with her.
