Cycalona "Clonie" Gowen (born November 6, 1971 in Oklahoma ) is a former professional American poker player .

Personal

Gowen got her name from a strong storm during her birth. She grew up in Kiowa , Oklahoma and was elected Miss Teen Oklahoma when she was 15. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Corsicana , Texas . Before she devoted herself to the game of poker, she played basketball . Gowen has two children and spends her free time scuba diving .

Gowen learned poker from her then boyfriend's father and played on weekends in Shreveport, Louisiana. She gained public recognition by winning the Ladies' Night of the World Poker Tour in Costa Rica . In addition to actively participating in tournaments, Gowen works as a columnist and commentator on various poker shows in the United States.

Gowen was a member of the "Team Full Tilt" of the online poker site Full Tilt Poker until the end of 2008 . She had her last live tournament success in January 2009. Until then, her profits from tournament winnings were more than 1.5 million US dollars .
