Daniel "Dan" Heimiller (born June 25, 1962 in California ) is a professional American poker player . He is two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Personal

Heimiller grew up in Detroit , Michigan . There he attended Wayne State University , later he studied at the University of Arizona in Tucson . Heimiller then worked as a taxi driver and industrial engineer . He lives in Las Vegas .

Poker career

Career

Heimiller plays online under the nickname lenny and won a World Championship of Online Poker tournament on the PokerStars platform in August 2003 . Since 1992 he has participated in renowned live tournaments .

In April 1997 Heimiller was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas and came into the money six times. At the WSOP 2002 he won a tournament in a mixed variant of Limit Hold'em and Seven Card Stud and received his first bracelet and a prize of over 100,000 US dollars . In the main event that same year, he finished 43rd for $ 20,000 in prize money. At the end of March 2004, he cashed in for the first time at a World Poker Tour event and finished 25th in Reno . In early September 2013, he finished second at the Legends of Poker Main Event at the WPT in Los Angeles and received more than US $ 350,000 in prize money. In the meantime the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino played out WSOP 2014 is Heimiller secured the victory in the Seniors Championship his second bracelet and his highest ever prize money of nearly 630,000 US dollars.
