Ted Forrest (born September 24, 1964 in Syracuse , New York ) is a professional American poker player. He is six-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker and once won the Main Event of the World Poker Tour . As part of the 50th edition of the World Series of Poker , Forrest was named as one of the 50 best players in poker history in June 2019 .
Poker career
Career
Forrest won three bracelets at the 1993 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas . For a long time he then concentrated entirely on cash games . He returned to the WSOP in 2004 and had a great success with two more bracelets. Since then, the seven-card stud specialist has concentrated more and more on Hold'em and has achieved some excellent placements on the World Poker Tour and the Professional Poker Tour . In March 2006, Forrest won the National Heads-Up Poker Championship . He defeated Erik Seidel , Chad Brown , Ernie Dureck , Sam Farha , Shahram Sheikhan , Chris Ferguson on his way to the title and won the grand prize of half a million US dollars . In March 2007, Forrest won a World Poker Tour tournament in San Jose and $ 1.1 million in prize money. Forrest usually plays to the highest available limits in poker. He was an important part of a group of players who pooled their money to play heads-up against billionaire Andrew Beal . The game took place at the Bellagio and had limits of $ 50,000 and $ 100,000. He made it to the round of 16 of the second season of Poker Superstars . At High Stakes Poker he was seen in the first two seasons.
In total, Forrest won nearly $ 6.5 million in live poker tournaments.
