Chad Brown (born August 13, 1961 in New York City , New York , † July 2, 2014 there ) was a professional American poker player , actor and commentator .
Life

Brown moved to Los Angeles in the early 1990s, where he soon started working in Hollywood .
He has had a few supporting roles in television series and films, including Basket Case 2 and Miami Hustle . He also hosted the Caesar's Challenge game show that ran in the early 1990s.

Brown grew up in the Bronx , where he first came across poker in Italian coffee houses.
Between 1993 and 2013 he recorded a total of 38 prize money placements at official tournaments of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas . In 2007 he first reached the prizes in the Main Event , where he finished 97th out of 6358 players and received $ 67,535 . He also reached a final table in season four of the World Poker Tour , finishing in sixth place.
Brown also took part in the 2007 National Heads-Up Poker Championship , where he beat Yosh Nakano, Gabe Kaplan , Brad Booth , Kristy Gazes and Gavin Smith in a knockout mode, beating only Paul Wasicka in the final had to give.
In October 2006 he won a tournament under the pseudonym stelladora at the fifth edition of the World Championship of Online Poker on the online poker platform PokerStars . He won the HORSE tournament with a buy-in of $ 5200 and won a prize of $ 223,150.
Brown hosted the Ultimate Poker Challenge poker format . He was in a relationship with the poker player Vanessa Rousso for a long time . In total, he won over $ 3.6 million in official poker tournaments. Since April 2008 he played for the team Pokerstars Pro .
Brown never won an official bracelet at the WSOP. A few days before his death, however, the WSOP officials awarded him an honor bracelet specially created for him for his services to the poker world.
Sickness and death
In February 2011, Vanessa Rousso announced on Twitter that Brown had removed a 5 kg tumor from his abdomen. He died of cancer on July 2, 2014 at the age of 52.

Brown and Stephan Kalhamer published the textbook Act to win in Texas Hold'em Poker in 2007 , which is based on Stephan Kalhamer's Texas Hold'em Poker , which was published in German in 2006 .
He also wrote articles on the subject of poker for various magazines from time to time.
