Paul Wasicka (born February 17, 1981 in Dallas , Texas ) is a professional American poker player .
Career
Wasicka started playing poker in 2004 when he was playing in a tournament in Denver . He used to work as a bartender and restaurant manager before switching to poker. Wasicka was behind Jamie Gold second in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2006 in Las Vegas and so won over six million dollars .
At the 2007 LA Poker Classics in Los Angeles , he took fourth place for $ 455,000 in prize money. His first big win came in March 2007 at the National Heads-Up Poker Championship for $ 500,000. Wasicka starred in the third season of High Stakes Poker . As of 2007, he was sponsored by Full Tilt Poker .
In total, Wasicka won more than $ 7.8 million in official live poker tournaments. He lives in Las Vegas.
