Poker superstars

Poker Superstars was a TV poker tournament that invited the world's best poker players to Las Vegas from 2005 to 2007. In Germany, the event was broadcast on Sport1 and commented on by Michael Körner . In Poker Superstars 1 , Gus Hansen beat seven of the best players in the world. At Superstars 2 , Johnny Chan beat Todd Brunson in the final . Todd Brunson won the Superstars 3 .

Mode at Superstars 1

Eight players competed against each other in several duels. First they played for chips for the final table . There they again played for chips for the championship table, where the prize was played.

Mode at Superstars 2 and 3

First, 24 players in 20 preliminary round games ( Short Handed Tables ) determined the Super Sixteen , i.e. the sixteen best players.

Playoffs

In the round of 16 there were four groups of four players each. The two best in each group made it to the quarter-finals, there were two groups, the two best of them made it to the semi-finals. Semi-finals and finals were played in heads-up mode.
