Personal

Deeb went to the United States in 1975 when the Lebanese Civil War broke out when he was 19. He attended Utah State University and lost touch with his parents, who supported him financially in his studies. He couldn't find a job because he was only living in the states on a student visa so he started gambling. Deeb was forced to drop out of college even though he was about to graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering .

During the 2005 WSOP , Deeb said in an interview with ESPN that he would like to finish his engineering degree. He lives in Las Vegas and has four children. Deeb also enjoys playing blackjack and has also participated in the Ultimate Blackjack Tour .

Poker career

Career

In the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in 1996 he won a bracelet at the 5000 $ Deuce to Seven Triple Draw and received 146,250 US dollars . He was also able to place well at the Main Event twice: in 1995 he was 17th and in 2003 he was 13th. Deeb also secured two titles on the World Poker Tour . At the 2007 WSOP , Deeb won the $ 50,000 HORSE and more than $ 2.2 million in prize money. He prevailed in heads-up against the French Bruno Fitoussi and thus crowned his career.

Its revenue through official live poker tournaments are more than nine million dollars , making it the most successful Lebanese poker player .
