David Bach (born August 9, 1971 in Springfield , Missouri ) is a professional American poker player . He is three-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Personal

Bach received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Georgia . Prior to his poker career, he was a professional bowler . Bach lives in Athens , Georgia .

Poker career

Career

Bach plays on the online poker platform PokerStars under the nickname Gunslinger3 . Since 1997 he has participated in renowned live tournaments .

At the end of April 1997 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) at Binion's Horseshoe in Las Vegas and came into the money in a tournament of the Seven Card Stud variant . In the 2005 WSOP Bach final table and reached occupied in Pot Limit Hold'em fifth place for nearly 90,000 dollars . In February 2006, he finished third at the LA Poker Classic in Los Angeles and received over $ 200,000 in prize money. In the same place he finished sixth in the Main Event of the World Poker Tour in early March 2007 for over $ 250,000. At the 2009 WSOP , Bach won the HORSE Championship , the predecessor of the Poker Player's Championship . In return, he prevailed against 94 other players and secured his first bracelet and a $ 1.2 million prize money. In 2011 , Bach made two final tables at the WSOP and finished 45th in the main event . At the 2017 WSOP he won a Six-Handed Dealers Choice and just ten days later the HORSE Championship . So he secured two more bracelets and prize money of over $ 500,000.

Overall, Bach has earned over four million dollars with poker in live tournaments.
