Carle Brenneman (born September 23, 1989 ) is a Canadian snowboarder . She starts in the snowboard cross discipline.

Career

Brenneman took 38th place at the 2008 Junior Snowboarding World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco and 23rd place the following year at the Junior Snowboarding World Championships in Nagano . She made her debut in the Snowboard World Cup in February 2009 in Cypress , which she did not finish. In March 2011 she achieved her first top ten placement in the World Cup with fifth place in Arosa . At the Snowboard World Championships in 2013 in Stoneham she came in 24th place and at the Snowboard World Championships in 2015 on Kreischberg she came in 16th. In January 2014, she finished fifth at the Winter X Games in Aspen . In the 2015/16 season she finished in the top ten three times in the World Cup and thus took 12th place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. In the following season, she reached tenth place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup with two top ten placements in seven World Cup appearances. In addition, she achieved third place in the team competition at the World Cup in Veysonnaz together with Tess Critchlow . At the season highlight of the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada , she was eighth. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she took 14th place, and at the 2019 Snowboard World Championships in Park City, she took eighth place in the individual and sixth place in the team competition.

Brenneman has also been taking part in Nor Am Cup competitions since 2008. So far she has achieved 13 podium finishes, including three victories. Her best overall result was fifth place in the 2010/11 season (as of January 1, 2020).
