Kathleen "Kathy" H. Liebert (born October 1, 1967 in Nashville , Tennessee ) is a professional American poker player .

Career

Liebert grew up in Long Island , New York . She attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie , where she received a bachelor's degree in economics and finance. She worked at Dun & Bradstreet , but left the group. Through successful stock exchange trading, she was able to afford to quit and travel.

Her poker career began as a paid player in Colorado . Their job was to start games and keep them going. She later entered tournaments and in 2002 won the first edition of the Party Poker Million , the first limit poker tournament with a $ 1 million prize money . She also reached the final table several times at the World Poker Tour , and in 2005 she was third at the Borgata Poker Open . Liebert also took part in the Poker Royale: Battle of the Sexes , and won.

She won a bracelet at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in 2004 . She has also won over $ 6 million in live tournaments. With this amount of money she was the most successful female poker player for a long time until she was overtaken by Vanessa Selbst in early 2013 and has been in second place ever since.

Liebert lives in Las Vegas .
