Cliff Hämmerle

Cliff Hämmerle (* 1969 ) is a German chef.

Career

Cliff Hämmerle began his cooking apprenticeship in 1987 with Rudi Kubig in the winery in Saarbrücken . After further positions, including with Margarethe Bacher in the restaurant "Hostellerie Bacher" in  Neunkirchen (Saar) from 1991-1992, he moved to Schweizerhof in Lenzerheide in the canton of Graubünden in 1992 .

In 1993 he joined the family business and has been the owner of the “Hämmerle's” restaurant in Webenheim (Blieskastel) since 1995 , which was awarded one star in the Michelin Guide in 2012   .

In February 2016, Cliff Hämmerle started together with Verena Sierra as a TV chef with the program Mit Herz am Herd , a production by SR Fernsehen .

In 2015 he was one of the authors of the book "Gudd gess deluxe" with classic Saarland dishes, which he modified in a contemporary way. His cookbook “Mit Herz am Herd” was published in October 2018. He was the first cook in Saarland to dare to write his own cookbook for several years.
