Live and act

Clint Garvin, who came from Nashville , was the brother of trumpeter Carl Garvin . He played (like his brother) from the beginning of 1939 with Jack Teagarden and His Orchestra and stayed with Teagarden until the end of 1941 . With nine other members of Teagarden's band, he then volunteered for military service. He was briefly married to Teagarden's band vocalist Kitty Kallen at the time ; however, the marriage was annulled. In the post-war years he led his own formation (in which drummer John Poole played) and worked for Ziggy Elman and His Orchestra. In the field of jazz he was involved in 29 recording sessions between 1939 and 1947.
