Clodovil Hernandes
Clodovil Hernandes (born June 17, 1937 in Elisiário , State of São Paulo , † March 17, 2009 in Brasília ) was a Brazilian fashion designer , television presenter , entertainer and politician .
Life
Clodovil Hernandes, who never met his birth parents, grew up with Spanish immigrants. After attending a Catholic school, he studied teaching, but became known as a fashion stylist in the 1960s.
Until his death he was engaged in various television stations and u. a. Moderator of the program "TV Mulher". Hernandes lived openly homosexual and was often noticed by insults and thus caused various scandals.
In 2006 he became a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Brazilian National Congress in Brasília for the state of São Paulo . He represented the Christian workers' party PTC ( Partido Trabalhista Cristão ).
Hernandes died of a cerebral haemorrhage.
