Paul Landres

Paul Landres (born August 21, 1912 in New York City , † December 26, 2001 in Encino ) was an American director and film editor .

Landres entered the film business in 1931 after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles , where he started as an assistant editor at Universal Studios and became editor in 1937. Twelve years later he took over the first directorship ( Grand Canyon with Richard Arlen ); He then made adventure films and westerns and then quickly switched to television, where he shot over 350 episodes for numerous series, also here often in the western milieu.

Landres had four children with his wife Jean .
