Clov
Clov , real name Klaus Oliv (born November 18, 1944 in Munich , † January 25, 2000 in Tegernsee ), was a German cartoonist .
Life
Klaus Oliv studied law for several semesters until 1969 and then completed an apprenticeship as a commercial artist . From 1973 he was co-owner of a small advertising agency in Munich-Schwabing for three years, and from 1976 freelance cartoonist for publishers and advertising agencies.
In 1978 he moved to Tegernsee, where he lived until his death in 2000.
In addition to publications in magazines such as Eltern or PM Magazin , he began developing postcards and calendars from 1975 onwards. The "Clov Pig" is known, a figure that appeared as a calendar for many years.
