Club Rakkas
Club Rakkas is a series of parties on Turkish Pop that has been taking place in Cologne since 1997 . With events now in German, Dutch and Turkish cities, it is now one of the most successful Turkish Pop events in Europe. The term rakkas comes from Arabic and means mood maker.
history
The first venues of the party series initiated by the German Turks Ertan Sayan and Tanju Yolasan were the Cologne Club 12 and the Gloria . The series later moved to the studios of the Magic Media Company (MMC) after Hürth .
Since January 1999 a second row of the club, "Halikarnas", has been running in the Palladium . The first event there had 3000 visitors, more than any other Turkish party in Germany before. In the summer of 2002 the Club Rakkas resided for the first time in the Netherlands in Rotterdam , since March 2003 in addition to Cologne regularly in other German cities such as Dusseldorf , Dortmund and Koblenz , in 2004 the Turkish Bodrum followed . At the turn of the year, club rakkas parties are now taking place in several cities.
The event locations in Rakkas also include event ships such as the MS RheinEnergie .
Music and other activities
In addition to well-known Turkish DJs, the artists who have performed so far at Club Rakkas include Tarkan and the Athena group . The club also produces Turkish pop samplers. A first CD appeared in cooperation with the BMG in October 1999 with Bodrum Nights .
Rakkas Entertainment has also been organizing major German premieres of Turkish films since 2003; During Ramadan , rakkas does not host any events.
