Cobitis maroccana is a freshwater fish in the genus Cobitis within the family of wolffish , only in Morocco occurs and as " at risk " applies.

The population of Cobitis maroccana is not small, but the species is classified as "endangered" by the IUCN . One or more introduced competing species from the genus Lepomis in the sunfish family will reduce the quality of the habitat for Cobitis maroccana . In addition, the fish population of the Oued Loukos along the main canal is endangered by water pollution from agriculture. Another hazard is the restriction of the fish habitat to less than 2000 km 2 .
