The Coesfeld-Daruper heights are up to 166  m high in the Munsterland district of Coesfeld , North Rhine-Westphalia , east of the district town of Coesfeld . They represent a southwest branch of the Baumberge and are naturally located in the west of the Kernmünsterland , at the interface to the Westmünsterland .

Natural allocation

The Coesfeld-Daruper heights are naturally assigned in the handbook of the natural spatial structure of Germany as follows:

Location and limits

The Coesfeld-Daruper heights are bounded by the places Coesfeld in the west, Billerbeck in the northeast, Nottuln in the far east and the district Darup in the southeast and Dülmen - Rorup in the south. The northeast border to the Baumberge runs roughly along the state road from Nottuln to Billerbeck, which follows the geological Billerbeck fault and measures 131  m in the saddle area . Immediately to the west is the NSG forest area Hengwehr and Hanloer Mark (173.11 ha) on the eastern edge of the heights .

Partial elevations

The B 525 between Coesfeld and Darup separates the 159.4 m high southern part of the heights, called Roruper Mark , from Hengwehr and Hanloer Mark (up to 166 m, see above) in the northeast, the Osthellermark to the west and finally the Coesfelder Berg (152 m) in the west of the northern part.
