The Colberg was a Prussian fortress watch ship in the years 1812 and 1813.

After France 1812 in preparation for its war against Russia had forced Prussia into an alliance, decided the Prussian government for the fixed and non-occupied France Baltic - forts Kolberg and Pillau ever a fortress Guardsmen to obtain. This was approved by the Prussian State Chancellor Karl August von Hardenberg on April 20, 1812. In fact, Pillau did not receive a ship, so the Kolberg fortress guard ship was the only one of its kind.

For Kolberg from the became Swinoujscie originating Quatze Speculant procured and Colberg renamed. The ship was 11.92 meters long and 4.08 meters wide. It was armed with two cannons. The crew consisted of a commander, three seamen, as well as three artillery and five infantry soldiers from the Kolberg garrison. The captain Johann Friedrich Schultz became the “commander” (not the “ commander ” as he did not have an officer license). He received his appointment on September 2, 1812.

The ship was used as an outpost ship to inform the Kolberg Fortress about enemy, English, Swedish and Russian ships and took part in the enforcement of the continental barrier. With the beginning of the Wars of Liberation after Napoleon's defeat in Russia, Prussia used the Colberg from March 29, 1813 to enclose the port city of Szczecin, which had been occupied by French troops since 1806 . She belonged to a flotilla of Prussian and at times also Swedish ships on the Dammschen See . The French troops in Szczecin surrendered on November 21, 1813.

In mid-December 1813, the Colberg was decommissioned as a fortress watch ship. Until the end of 1815 she was still used as a so-called harbor watch ship. At the end of 1816 it was auctioned in Stettin.
