Colette Corder

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Colette Corder ( February 28, 1894 - December 10, 1982 ) was a theater and film actress .

Life

Colette Corder had immediately before the outbreak of the First World War started playing theater. After working on stage in the German provinces, she was hired at the German Art Theater and began filming in 1919.

Committed to small production companies from the outset, Colette Corder played supporting and a few leading roles in films that were quite insignificant in terms of cultural history. After only four years of intensive activities in front of the camera, Corder hardly received any more offers; in the course of the early sound film years, her tasks shrank to batch format . Instead, you saw them in a short time at various stages in the capital, such as the Small Theater, the Metropol Theater , Theater am Nollendorfplatz and the Theater in Behrenstrasse . After 1932 she remained largely without a permanent engagement, only in the years 1942 to 1944 she can be verified (as "Colette Cordes") as a member of the ensemble at the Kasseler Landesbühne.

What she did professionally after the Second World War cannot currently be determined.
