Colin Rowe

Colin Rowe (born March 27, 1920 in Yorkshire , † November 5, 1999 in Arlington County ) was a British architect , author and university professor . His work is seen as a not insignificant influence on urban planning , especially in the areas of urban planning and urban design.

Life

Colin Rowe was born in the United Kingdom but lived most of his life in the United States of America . He studied at the School Liverpool architecture , at London's Warburg Institute art history . He then taught at various faculties, so in Austin and at Cornell University .

In 1995 he was awarded the gold medal of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
