Ivo altar of the Law Faculty

The southwest chapel of the Collegiate Church in Salzburg with the altarpiece of St. Ivo , to whom a boy hands a sheet of paper, is dedicated to the Collegium of Jurisprudence (Jus) . The side altar figures represent the hll. Gregor and Anselm . The altarpiece was painted in 1722 by Franz Georg Hermann for 550 florins . Instead of a tabernacle, the round image of St. Karl Borromeo in a gilded volute frame, over which the cardinal's hat floated, held by two puttos with pedum and ferula . In this case under glass was the real cardinal's hat of St. Karl Borromeo was kept. Instead, a copy of the miraculous image of Wessobrunn , which used to be on the altar of the medical faculty , has now been placed .

In the wall niches are the statues of St. Wolfgang , Bernard , Leonhard and Bonifaz .
